Diacon II (methoprene)

Application Grain protectant or surface treatment Remarks Active ingredient is an insect growth regulator. It prevents development of larvae into adults. Adult insects are not controlled. Apply as a spray to the grain as it is being augured into the bin or as a top-dressing to stored products. Insects Controlled Indian meal moth, cigarette beetle, lesser grain borer, sawtoothed grain beetle, merchant grain beetle, red flour beetle, confused flour beetle.

Dipel (Bacillus thuringienesis)

Application Surface treatment Remarks Apply insecticide to surface after grain is binned. Top dressing provides a protective barrier from migrating insects which enter from the top. Not a rescue treatment. Insects Controlled Indian meal moth and Angoumois grain moth larvae.

Not a rescue treatment. Insects Controlled Rice weevil, granary weevil, flat grain beetle, lessor grain borer, large grain borer, red flour beetle, cigarette beetle, angoumois grain moths, darling beetles, lessor meal worms.
